About the Careers and Employability Service

We are a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to helping you reach your career potential during your course and beyond graduation.

Find out more about our teams below, and scroll down for our staff and contact details.

Employer Liaison and CareerConnect

Our Employer Liaison and CareerConnect Team work with graduate employers and other organisations to assist with the development, vetting and promotion of graduate jobs, internships, placements and other work experience opportunities. They work with employers of all sizes, from large multi national companies, to small scale businesses, and source opportunities for students at international, national regional and local level. The Team also co-ordinate the University’s Undergraduate Internship Programme.

Advice and Guidance / Academic School Liaison

Our Advice and Guidance / Academic School Liaison Team provide one to one guidance to students on all aspects of career exploration and management, from exploring options with your degree, to discussing work experience and postgraduate study, perfecting your CV and preparing for interviews. They co-ordinate a regular workshop / webinar programme, delivered by the Team, employers, practitioners and alumni, and work with academic schools to deliver employabillity sessions and supporting School initiatives and activities.

Work Experience Support

Have little or no employment experience? Do you feel you face barriers that are potentially holding you back? If so, the Work Experience Support Team can provide you with enhanced support to help you access opportunities which can improve your chances of gaining successful graduate employment.

Barriers may be due to a variety of factors such as: financial hardship, disability, a learning difference, mental health and caring responsibilities.

Support will be prioritised for those who have little or no previous employment experience.

Advisers can offer individual support to help you improve your employability and achieve your goals. If you'd like to find out more click here: or you can email us at workexperiencesupport@bangor.ac.uk
