Overview
My PhD project is looking for understand the assembly mechanisms from the skin microbiome of amphibians and its functionality against an emerging pathogen. Mainly, I'm investigating the ecological interactions between bacteria from the skin microbiome and the genetics basis. Furthermore, I'm looking for the functionality of the microbiome from amphibians that live in degraded environments. Finally, I'm looking for how the microbiome is assembling in a macro-scale (biogeography).
Qualifications
- MA: Microbial communities in the face of climate change: a look at the microbiota-host interaction
Universidad Nacional Aut籀noma de M矇xico, 20212023 - Cellular landscape of mosaic Y chromosome loss during aging in Rattus norvegicus
Universidad Aut籀noma del Estado de Morelos, 20162019
Research Interests
I am a microbial ecologist specializing in the study of community interactions and chemical ecology within bacterial communities. My research focuses on understanding the assembly mechanisms of complex microbial communities inhabiting animal hosts. I am particularly interested in how these microbial interactions influence host health, especially in the context of emerging diseases and the impacts of climate change.
