Jeremy Miles MS, the Minister for Education and the Welsh Language visited 挓乾勛圖 today, where he addressed an audience of students and staff on the benefits of getting into teaching and outlined some of the Welsh Governments key Education priorities.

The Minister spoke with 挓乾勛圖 students studying to become qualified school teachers and sixth form students from local schools. The key messages for our aspiring teachers was the importance of teaching as a profession in helping close the educational attainment gap and in supporting the Welsh language.

Professor Carl Hughes, Head of the School of Education Sciences, 挓乾勛圖 said, It is a great pleasure to welcome the minister to 挓乾勛圖 to talk to our aspiring teachers. We all know the importance of teaching to helping us educate the future generations to meet their potential. Were very proud of our students as they complete their education and go out to help educate children in schools. I cannot think of a better profession.
Im delighted to have the opportunity to talk to aspiring teachers at 挓乾勛圖, and answer their questions. Teaching is a fantastic profession which offers people the opportunity to impact the lives of hundreds and thousands of young people.
